Mary Ann Ricketts Planck Clutter (Polly) was born on September 28, 1817 in Dearborn (now Ohio) County, Indiana. Her parents were William Ricketts and Elizabeth Oxley. When she was 18, Mary married Joseph Marion Planck (Plank) on December 6, 1835 in Dearborn County, Indiana. Joseph was born April 10 1810 in Maryland. Mary Ann and Joseph's children included: Joseph bought land in Woodford County Illinois on August 19, 1836 and they moved there. Joseph died when he was only 35 years old on March 10, 1845 in Metamora, Woodford County, Illinois. Israel had been married before to Rachel Lebow (Leabo) in Monroe County, Indiana on October 13, 1834. She was probably a granddaughter of Francois Isaac Leabo. Israel and Rachel's children included: In 1850 the household was in Woodford and included Israel Clutter age 38, Marget Clutter (sic) age 32, John Clutter age 14, Martha Clutter age 10, Howard Clutter age 8, Francis Clutter age 5, Elizabeth Planck age 13, James (Joseph?) Planck age 11, William Planck age 10, Andrew Planck age 8 and Mary Jane Planck age 5. Israel and Mary A (Ricketts) had two children: During the Civil War, William Marion was in the Co. G, 19th IL Inf and Joseph Franklin was a sergeant in Co. E 108th IL Infantry from 8/28/1862 - 8/5/1865 at Vicksburg, MS Mary Ann died when she was 65 on May 17, 1883 in Washington Township, Tazewell County, Illinois and was laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery there.
